The Unlock Order
Unlock survivors in this order to build toward a strong roster fastest.
Huntress
Unlocked by surviving 15 minutes in Isolated City - the first hidden survivor most players get. She hunts big game with explosive and freezing arrows, and her rank 3 unlocks Zombie Decoy and Arrow Penetration. Great for an ice-elemental build and the Let It Snow achievement.
Medic
Unlocked by using 100 health pickups - this comes naturally while learning the game. Medic deals ice (Freezing Flasks) and chemical (Antidote Flasks) damage, and her rank 3 unlocks Stimpack and Reanimation. She is one of only two ice damage dealers and the only chemical one, so she is required for both element achievements.
Pyro & Ghost
Pyro needs 1,000,000 lifetime elemental damage - every run's damage counts, so it unlocks with time. He is the only fire dealer and feeds the fire achievements. Ghost needs 100 zombie boss kills, which builds up fastest on Vile Wasteland where big enemies are common. His melee kit rewards players who like the close-range ninja style.
